Pulmonary Care
Comprehensive respiratory care for chronic lung conditions, flare-ups, respiratory infections, and prevention.
How we can help.
Our pulmonary team provides four pillars of respiratory care, from chronic disease management to acute infection treatment and long-term prevention.
For patients with COPD or pulmonary fibrosis, traveling to specialist appointments can be physically exhausting. We bring pulmonary expertise to you, coordinated with your primary care team every step of the way.
Chronic condition management
Ongoing management of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary fibrosis. We develop personalized treatment plans to slow disease progression, optimize medications, and improve quality of life.
Acute and chronic exacerbations
Rapid response to COPD flares, acute asthma attacks, and heart failure exacerbations. Early intervention helps prevent hospitalization and manage symptom escalation.
Acute infection treatment
Evaluation and treatment of pneumonia, bronchitis, and other respiratory infections. We order chest imaging, lab work, and cultures as needed, managing infections in place to avoid unnecessary hospitalizations.
Preventive pulmonary care
Vaccinations, smoking cessation support, pulmonary rehabilitation referrals, and ongoing monitoring to prevent respiratory complications and slow the progression of chronic lung disease.

Frequently asked.
Can I see a pulmonary provider at home if I have COPD?
Yes. Our pulmonary providers conduct in-home visits for homebound patients. If your breathing makes travel difficult, we can come to you at home, in a skilled nursing facility, or in an assisted living community.
Does Medicare cover pulmonary specialist visits?
Medicare Part B covers medically necessary pulmonary services, including specialist visits, spirometry testing, and pulmonary rehabilitation. Coverage varies based on your specific plan and diagnosis, and our team will verify your benefits before your first visit.
What should I do if my breathing gets worse between visits?
Established patients have 24/7 provider access for acute respiratory changes. Call your clinic: Orlando 321-800-9245 or DeLand 386-777-0940. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
Do you manage patients with both heart failure and lung disease?
Yes. Congestive heart failure and lung conditions frequently overlap. Our pulmonary team coordinates closely with our primary care physicians to manage both conditions together, reducing the need to see multiple separate specialists.
